A whiter shade of pale

Whilst lay in bed with my poorly back I was thinking about this Banksy inspired stamp and I knew exactly what I wanted to achieve with this canvas but wasn't quite sure how to get it, then the latest issue of Craft Stamper arrived and there is an article by Jaine Drake, this article held the key to getting the effect I wanted. However, I'm still not sure whether to give it the Modge Podge and sparkle treatment!..... I probably will ;o)

Regarding my back, the muscle spasms have become less painful but I do have 2 prolapsed discs and will hopefully be having a MRI scan very soon to what other damage I've done as I seem to have damaged some nerves too, all this was done putting my shoes on! Thanks for all the get well messages they all made me smile.

Wishing you a lovely day, Sam xxx

  1. Sorry to hear about your poorly back, Sam! Best of luck with getting it treated, and hope it stays treated, if you know what I mean. Back problems do have a nasty habit of recurring, as I know to my cost!!

Get better soon, and please keep on inspiring us all with your lovely art.

  7. Am so sorry to hear you are still in bad pain Sam, sending you gentle hugs and hope you get sorted out soon.
Loving your beautiful canvas. If you decide to use the MP sparkle, after its dry just go over it with MP matt and it keeps the sparkle but gives a much smoother effect. Try it on a scrap piece first and see how you like the results. Annette x

  13. Back issues suck Sam. Sorry you are feeling poorly. I hope you get proper treatment and relief soon.
As far as this canvas goes, lovely. I think the sparkle would be a nice touch but sometimes it is too much. I am sure you will ponder it for a while.
    Take care friend.
