Yep, I was inspired by a Beatles song!
The mega talented France is inviting us this week to use fabric or lace in our creations for the latest challenge at Stampotique Designers Challenge Blog. Here's what France has to say:
"When stuck while making a project, it's often adding texture that gets me rolling again. But lace or fabric is often the last thing i think about when searching for texture. So I thought it would be fun to have all of you lovely peeps make art using fabric or lace. And all those fab creations would make one awesome inspiration board!"
For my creation I took a very plain mdf heart and using some Martha Stewart punches punched the Hydrangea petals, stuck them on the heart leaving spaces for the images and words and painted all over. Hazelheart and the dog were stamped on card, coloured with Prismacolour pencils and glued in place. For the words I used just one word from Whole Heart and stamped it on tissue paper 3 times and glued in place with pva glue and water 50/50. Finally I wrapped the lace around and added the flower and pearl. I added some string to hand and Ta-da!
Hope you like it? Thanks for looking.
Have a great day, Sam xxx
