Close to Nature - Part 2

There was a time, not so long ago, that if a round substrate was suggested to me to use I would have froze to the spot and felt terrified, the That's Crafty! MDF Rounds have completely changed that, and now I go blank if I look at a square a rectangle to begin working on lol.
I also have to praise the That's Crafty Greyboard -you can chuck anything at it and abuse it with a heat gun and it keeps it's integrity. Here I used texture paste to add definition and texture to the greyboard mushroom, leaves and acorn. Add some humour and bright colours and it's a winning combination.

Don't forget the That's Crafty challenge is still running and you have plenty of time to enter, the theme is 'Close to Nature' and all the details can be found right here. We'd love to see you there - there are prizes to be won!!!!

Here is what I used, all items are hyperlinked for your convenience:

I used acrylic paints for the background and greyboard, Prismacolour pencils and Posca pens for the characters and details.
I do hope you like it.

Wishing you a lovely day, Sam xxx

  1. So cute, Sam! I tried my hand at some ATC Coins not too long ago and they turned out pretty well, if I do say so myself!
