One of the pleasures I get from playing with inks and stamps is finding something really quite boring such as an empty match box and turning it in to something much nicer. This altered matchbox matched the challenge theme at Stampotique Designers Challenge Blog this week where our hostess Valerie is asking us to use Handles, hinges, buckles, fasteners, pulls - different ways to flip, fold, fasten, open, close and grasp! These could be used on cards, dimensional projects, envelopes or altered/recycled/ found objects.... faux or real - anything goes! I decided to use a Tim Holtz Hitch Fastener on the front of the match box for a little handle and it works a treat!
To decorate I used distress inks, I finished with a beeswax coating and the stamps used are:
