This week the very lovely Jackie is our hostess at Stampotique and she is inviting us to use a Heart In Your Art, a fabulous challenge theme. I wanted to get away from paper for this challenge and reached for some white muslin, I cut it in to a heart shape, stamped directly on to it using Daniels Hearts and Whole Heart using StazOn. I coloured using Derwent Inktense pencils and water, stitched with silver thread adding a ribbon and a coordinating button for detail. It's now hanging on Jack's tree in his nursery :)
I do hope you like it and find time to join in the fun!
Wishing you a lovely day, Sam xxx
I do love Inktense Pencils & i adore your very pretty heart. Sounds like a great challenge this week:-) x
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little hanging Sam, I bet it looks fabulous on Jack's tree xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a thoughtful project, Sam! I know this all took time, and I can tell you it was definitely worth every minute of it. The fact that it not decorates Jack's room just makes it more special! Love the detail of the silver thread and button! Mwah! KayW
ReplyDeleteA fabulous contemporary, arty heart that as always has your unique whimsical touch to it. Adore this!
ReplyDeleteSam, you warmed my heart this afternoon with your comment on my butterfly canvas because that was a step for me to use so much colour! In fact a family member didn't even believe it was me that made it saying I never use colour and only do vintage! Thanks for your encouraging words.
